Brooke Barrett online provides shipping both domestically (New Zealand) and internationally. Provided below is information and requirements to ensure your purchases get to you will no implications.

Whilst the team at Brooke Barrett make every effort to get you order to you within the time frames noted below, unforeseen circumstances and peak trading times can have an effect on these guidelines.

Upon ‘check out’ a final shipping cost will be calculated for you based on delivery location, selected delivery service and value of product purchased. Refer to the below chart for a general guideline.

To ensure an easy delivery process please supply the required fields for delivery including a name &/or business name, physical address for where the item/s is to be delivered (between the hours of 9am – 5pm weekdays) and a phone number for couriers to contact you if required.

*Please note that some delays at the receiver’s end i.e. customs may vary depending on the country and is outside of Brooke Barrett’s control and responsibility.


All deliveries will include a tracking number, automatically emailed to you upon dispatch from Brooke Barrett. Ensure to hold on to this and follow links in the email to track your order.


Standard courier practice applies to all Brooke Barrett purchases.

Parcels Must be signed for upon delivery, if delivery cannot be made the driver will leave a collection card at the stated address. To collect the parcel, the collection card must be presented with a form of photo ID at the nominated courier branch. If the parcel is not collected within 10 business days, it will be returned to Brooke Barrett. Please note that redelivery will incur an additional shipping charge.

Brooke Barrett offers international shipping VIA DHL and FedEX with charges noted above in ‘Shipping costs and methods’. International shipments are subject to local customs authorities which can affect estimated delivery times. If deemed necessary, the courier and/or customs agent may contact you through your information provide on your Brooke Barrett account.


International orders may be subject to Customs import duties and taxes based on the destination country’s controls and regulations. These Custom duties and taxes are based on the value of the order and the tax free threshold of the destination country. Payment of duties and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient, not Brooke Barrett. These fees are collected at the time of delivery and the customer will be notified to make the payment prior to receiving goods. For further information please contact your local customs office.



Made to order, no customisation:

  • Brooke Barrett operates under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 Brooke Barrett ‘sale’ items may not be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty. STRICTLY NO RETURNS ON CUSTOMISED ORDERS OUTLINED BELOW. All returns must be made via emailing
  • Returns must be received within 7 days of delivery. Please note that any item(s) to be returned must be in new, unused, unworn, unwashed, undamaged and with the DO NOT REMOVE tag still attached in the same place as originally sent.
  • Our clothing is made-to-order, just for you and no one else. Should you decide to return your order, we charge a small Zero Waste Fee ($35 per item) which will be deducted from your online store credit once all returning items have been received in their original form (outlined above). We charge this fee because we don’t build inventory into our up front pricing, therefore offering you the lowest pricing possible for made-to-order clothing. Your Zero Waste Fee will help us reduce the impact of excess stock on the environment. We imagine a future without over-production and environmentally devastating waste by not holding inventory.
  • Once your return is processed you will be notified via the email address on your account. Note that different banks may require longer time frames for processing refund payments.
  • Shipping and handling costs are not refunded unless the original item is faulty.
  • Any and all refunds processed will be in New Zealand dollars (NZD) Any change to exchange rates at the time of return processing os beyond the control of Brooke Barrett.
  • No cash refund will be given.
  • No returns or credits will be given on sale, discounted or promotional offers.


Customised items:

  • If you are unhappy with the fit of your garment, we will cover the cost of alterations up to $50 (valid with receipt only), any additional fee will be to be charged via your original payment method.
  • Each listing offers size information with easy-to-follow instruction for taking accurate measurements, so returns are not accepted.
